In short

  • We use them only to run your interviews and write your reports. No ads, no selling, no sharing with employers. Section 3
  • The language models that run the interviewer and write your reports aren’t trained on your data, by their provider or by us. Section 4
  • Delete your recordings or your whole account from Settings at any time. Voice recordings go after 90 days anyway. Section 7

A summary to help you find your way. The full text below is what applies.

1.Who we are#

getInterviewed (getinterviewed.dev) is operated by Oggnai Technologies Private Limited (CIN U62011DL2025PTC446040), 293 S/F, Western Marg, Saidulajab, New Delhi, Delhi 110030, India (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions go to hello@getinterviewed.dev.

2.What we collect#

  • Account: from the Google account you sign in with, your name, email address, profile photo and Google’s identifier for the account. We never see your Google password.
  • Resume: the PDF you upload, or the lines you write instead, the text we extract from it, and the structured summary we build (experience, projects, skills, education, achievements), with any corrections you make to it. Your chosen role and level.
  • Interviews: the audio recording of each voice interview, the transcript of every interview (voice or text), the code, queries and whiteboard you produce, your test runs, timings, the questions you were asked, the report we write, and any rating or comment you give a report.
  • Billing: your plan and its status, the interview packs you buy, the interviews counted against your allowance, and when you first opened each report (the refund policy depends on it). Card details go to DodoPayments and never reach us; we keep the payment and subscription notices it sends us, which include your name and email address.
  • Location: the country you signed up from, as Cloudflare reports it from your IP address. It sets the prices you pay.
  • How you found us: if you came from a link carrying campaign tags (an ad, a post we shared), those tags and the ad’s click identifier; the website that linked to us (its name only); the page you arrived on and when. Kept with your account from sign-up.
  • Technical: your IP address and browser user agent (stored with each sign-in session; your IP address is also used, without being stored, to limit how often requests can be made), and server logs kept for security and debugging.

3.How we use it#

Only to provide and grow the service you signed up for:

  • to run your interviews: the interviewer reads your resume summary and sees your code or whiteboard as you work;
  • to grade each interview and write your report, and to avoid repeating questions or resume topics;
  • to bill your plan at the prices for your country, count your interviews, and apply the refund policy;
  • to keep the service secure, fix problems, and improve interview and report quality (for example, reviewing a report you rated down);
  • to learn which of our posts and ads bring people to the service, and, when we advertise on Reddit, to let Reddit measure which of its ads led to a sign-up or a purchase.

We do not sell your data, show you ads, or share your resume, recordings or reports with employers. If we ever offer a way to share results with employers, it will be opt-in, per interview.

4.AI processing#

The interviewer is an AI. In a voice interview your voice is transcribed to text, a language model decides what the interviewer says, and that is spoken back to you in a synthetic voice; in a text interview your messages go to the same model and its replies come back as text. After the interview, a language model grades the transcript and your work. Your resume is read by a language model to build its summary.

These language models are OpenAI’s, used under its business API terms, which do not allow OpenAI to train its models on our data. We don’t train models on your data either. Section 5 lists every provider involved.

5.Who processes it for us#

We use these service providers, each only for the purpose shown:

ProviderWhat for
TalqingRuns the interview sessions, voice and text, and passes speech and text to the providers below; stores voice recordings, call transcripts and text interview chats. Talqing is run by our own company.
Sarvam AISpeech-to-text: turns what you say in a voice interview into text (through Talqing).
RayaText-to-speech: the interviewer’s voice in voice interviews (through Talqing). It receives what the interviewer says, not your voice.
OpenRouterPasses the interviewer’s requests to OpenAI’s model (through Talqing).
OpenAIThe interviewer’s language model, reading your resume, and grading your interviews.
Judge0 (through RapidAPI)Runs the code you write in coding questions when you click Run or Submit, with the tests’ input, and sends back its output. SQL queries run on our own servers instead.
DodoPaymentsCheckout, subscriptions, interview packs and invoices, as merchant of record.
DigitalOceanHosting for our servers and database.
CloudflareDelivering this website and passing your requests on to our servers, which includes telling us the country they come from.
GoogleSign-in.
ResendSending the email that tells you your report is ready.
SentryError reports from our servers and this website, without your name, email or what you wrote.
PostHogCounting page visits and product steps (signed up, started or finished an interview, subscribed) and which campaign or website brought you, under a random or account ID, never your name, email or what you wrote.
RedditOnly while we advertise on Reddit: told when someone signs up, subscribes or buys a pack (with its price), with your email address and IP address in hashed (irreversibly scrambled) form, your browser’s user agent, and the ad’s click identifier if you came from a Reddit ad, so Reddit can measure and improve our ads. Sent from our servers; Reddit runs no code and sets no cookies on this website.

Our servers and database are in India. Some providers process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union.

6.How long we keep it#

DataKept until
AccountYou delete your account.
How you found usYou delete your account. Before you sign up, your browser keeps it for at most 30 days.
ResumeYou replace it (the old one is deleted) or delete your account.
Voice recordings90 days, or sooner if you delete them from Settings or delete your account.
Our transcripts, code, reportsYou delete your account.
Interview transcripts and chats at Talqing90 days after the interview, or sooner if you delete your account. They are used for nothing else.
Billing recordsThe payment and subscription notices DodoPayments sends us are kept for our accounts, also after you delete your account. DodoPayments keeps its own records as tax law requires.
Sign-in sessionsA session ends 30 days after it was last used, or when you sign out. An ended one is removed the next time you sign in, or with your account.
Analytics eventsKept by PostHog under a random or account ID, never your name or email. Deleting your account doesn’t remove them.
Code you run, at Judge0Judge0 and RapidAPI keep each program you run, with the tests’ input and its output, under their own policies. They don’t let us delete it, so deleting your account doesn’t remove it. We send them no name or email address.
Conversions sent to RedditKept by Reddit under its own policies. Deleting your account doesn’t remove them.

7.Your choices and rights#

You can replace your resume, delete your recordings, or delete your account and everything in it from Settings at any time, and correct what we read from your resume. Deleting your account is immediate and permanent: it cancels any subscription, everything we hold is deleted at once apart from the billing records, analytics events, conversions sent to Reddit and code run at Judge0 described in section 6, and your voice recordings, call transcripts and text interview chats are erased at Talqing.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or restrict the use of your data, and to complain to a data protection authority. Email hello@getinterviewed.dev and we’ll respond within 30 days.

8.Cookies#

We set one cookie, tech_session, which keeps you signed in (and a short-lived one during Google sign-in to protect it). There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. To count visits, our analytics keeps a random ID in your browser’s session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab. Your browser’s local storage also keeps a few things the app itself uses on this device, such as your preferred programming language and panel sizes, which aren’t sent to us. If you arrive from another website or a link with campaign tags, it also keeps how you found us (section 2) for up to 30 days and sends it to us when you sign up; it is removed once you sign in.

9.Security#

Traffic is encrypted in transit. You sign in with Google, so we hold no password, and session tokens are stored only as hashes, so a copy of our database would reveal none of them. Access to production data is limited to the people who run the service.

10.Age#

The service is for people 16 and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

11.Changes#

When this policy changes we update the date at the top, and for a material change we email account holders before it takes effect.
